British carmaker MG Motor is all set to bring its second electric car to India. Which has been widely practiced in various quarters for a long time. After the mid-size SUV MG ZS EV, the company is now set to bring a pooch electric vehicle. Its code name is MG E230. It is based on the company's recently launched sister brand Wiling Air EV in Indonesia. 


A few days ago, the car was spotted during a trial run in Gujarat. Which has fueled speculations about the car's upcoming launch. The report claims that the MG E230 will be launched in the first half of 2023. It may also be glimpsed at the Auto Expo in January 2023. Besides, some pictures of the car's cabin have been leaked. MG Compact EV interior design

The interior of the Indian model of the MG Compact EV has given an idea of the features. Its interior design is largely similar to the Wiling Hengyang EV sold in the Chinese market. The car, which is about to come under a new name in India, has been given a sleek design. There are twin 10.25-inch screens on the dashboard. One of which will serve as the instrument cluster and the other as the infotainment screen. Just below it, there are two horizontal AC vents. Below that are three round knobs. With which the HVAC can be controlled. Dual tone colors are seen in the cabin.

The steering wheel has two spokes. Multiple controls present in both. Silver Finishing These buttons can be used to run audio, navigation, infotainment, voice commands and more. Although there are four passenger seats including the driver, the inside is quite open. The rear seats are at the rear end of the two cars, increasing the foot space. That is why cargo space is thought to be less matched. The center console features storage space, a power window switch and a gear selector.

Wiling Air EV – Two range options

The Wiling Air EV is available in two ranges in the Indonesian market. So, it is thought that the same option will be kept in the Indian model. In Indonesia, the standard and long-range versions can travel 200 and 300 km on a single charge, respectively. The same range may be offered in the models of this country. In India, the car will compete with Tata X-Press T EV and Tata Tiger EV. Although the Tata X-Press T EV is only available to commercial companies. Its range is 185 km. On the other hand, the range of Tata Tiger EV is 306 km.

According to sources, the Wiling Air EV is sold in the international market in a single-engine single - engine. The output of one is 30 kW and the other is 50 kW. It contains a lithium-ion phosphate battery. It is learned that Tata Auto Comp will supply batteries for the Indian model. It will have LPG-type cells. Which is also used in Tata Nixon EV.
