Google Pixel Fold will be on shelves, Samsung display with Sony camera

Google has been working on its first foldable smartphone Pixel Fold for a long time. The model in question was rumored to make its global debut last year. 


But years have passed, the arrival of the phone has yet to happen. But it looks like Google will soon unveil their first foldable handset. Because recently a new update regarding the Pixel Fold phone has come out. A prominent Chinese leakster has leaked some information regarding the display and camera front of the device in question, along with its official codename. It is reported that the upcoming model will come with Samsung's dual-display design and Sony-made main camera sensor.

In collaboration with 91Mobiles, tipster Kuba Wojciechowski (Kuba Wojciechowski) recently revealed some important information about the Google Pixel Fold smartphone. The tipster said the model will carry the codename 'Felix'. The tipster also claims that the upcoming Google handset will use an in-house display made by South Korea-based tech brand Samsung. And it is estimated that the main foldable display of this phone will support high refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Besides, this display will offer a resolution of 1,840x2,208 pixels, a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits.

According to reports, Google may offer a triple camera system in the new foldable phone. In this case, the rear panel of the device is likely to house Sony IMX787 primary sensor, Sony IMX386 ultra-wide secondary lens and Samsung S5K3J1 telephoto lens. Again the Sony IMX355 selfie sensor on the inner screen and the Samsung S5K3J1 telephoto front-facing shooter on the secondary display on the outside.

Incidentally, the Pixel Fold phone was supposed to be launched with the Pixel 6 series last year. However, it did not actually happen. But recently there are whispers that Google might make their latest handset official in the first quarter of 2023. Moreover, the Sundar Pichai-led company will start receiving display panels in January and then production of the Google Pixel Fold foldable smartphone will begin under the supervision of Foxconn, the manufacturing company in China.
