In India's two-wheeler market, Boba's bikes are not unique. The prices that exist are beyond the reach of the common middle class. So recently Jawa, the owner of Mahindra's subsidiary Classic Legends, has launched a bobber named 42 Bobber at a relatively low price.
Price wise it is again the most affordable Bobber model in India. In the respective segment, the company's lineup includes its flagship model Perak. Which costs slightly more than the Jawa 42 Bobber. This report discusses the comparison of two Bobber bikes.
Jawa 42 Bobber vs Jawa Perak Design
Design wise the 42 Bobber is the smaller version of the Perak. The Perak has halogen bulbs in the headlamps and turn indicators. Whereas the 42 Bobber features full LED lighting. It again has a digital instrument cluster. But Perak is available in the market with that old school analog unit. The seats of both motorcycles are visually identical. However, the company claims that the seat of the newly launched model is more comfortable, as it has two-step adjustability.
Meanwhile the Perak has a sporty riding position whereas the 42 Bobber has a comfortable position. Another difference between the two motorcycles is the color scheme. Perak is also famous for its dark themes. It is offered in matte black color with gold accents. On the other hand, the 42 Bobber comes in Jasper Red Dual Tone, Moonstone White and Mystic Cooper colors.
