Chinese company Byd joins Tata, Mahindra owner for electric cars

In India, the consumer preference for cars with more safety features is increasing. Along with stylish design and performance, customers are also giving more importance to the safety features of the car. Most of the most protected cars in India today are Tata and Mahindra models.

This time, the Chinese company Build Your Dreams or BYD, the world's largest electric car in terms of sales, has joined the group. The company's recently launched Atto 3 car in the country bagged a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. BYD Atto 3 shows its prowess in Euro Encaps crash test.

Chinese electric car BYD Atto 3 passed the crash test with 91 percent for adults and 89 percent for child passengers. The car scored 74 percent overall. Safety features on the top-end model of the five-door electric SUV include seven airbags and advanced driver assistance system or ADAS. That's why the Chinese manufacturer claims it is one of the safest electric SUV models.

The Euro Encaps test took the model with left hand drive or the driver's seat on the left. But based on that the right hand drive model is also rated. BYD Atto 3 proved its stability in frontal impact test. At that time, the knees and lower parts of the legs of the two puppet passengers sitting in the front row were found intact.

Again in the full with rigid barrier test there was no significant damage to the vital parts of the passenger's body. Again, the car showed promising results in the side barrier test. That's why BYD Atto 3 has passed all safety tests with high marks. It includes autonomous emergency braking system, front and rear seat belt reminders, speed assistance system with speed limit detection.
