Automobile companies are racing to market electric cars. Along with bringing in new electric vehicles, Herrick has been involved in electrifying the company's existing IC models. Mahindra and Mahindra (Mahindra & Mahindra) can be taken as an example.
Last month, the company revealed its future plans to bring an EV model. Reportedly, the Scorpio, Bolero and even the Thar will come in electric versions. They will also bring multiple EV models under two different brands – XUV.e (XUV.e8 and XUV.e9) and BE (BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09).

Currently
the above models are in concept version. The first of these could be the
Mahindra XUV.e8. It is reported that Mahindra will electrify their XUV700 from
December 2024. Notably, the XUV.e and BE electric SUV models have been designed
by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe or Mada Design Studio in Oxfordshire, UK.
Each model based on the INGLO platform has a different design and features.
The
domestic company has confirmed to bring electric versions of Thar, Scorpio and
Bolero. Each model name will have an appended '.e' at the end. Along with this,
the company's new logo will be used on the upcoming models. The Thar.e,
Scorpio.e and Bolero.e cars will be based on the P1 version of the INGLO
platform. Every motor from Volkswagen will have a rear wheel drive system.
Again the electric model of Mahindra Scorpio may be offered with all wheel drive. Note that Thar.e debuted in the South African market last month. It is completely different from the ICE version. Up front is a square-off, retro-style stance. There is also a rectangular grille, compact windshield, a bumper and signature LED DRLs.
