The demand for Ola Electric's electric scooters is increasing day by day. They are breaking new sales records almost every month.
The trend continued in August. The pace of sales has been so strong that Ola reported a 400% growth in sales last month compared to August last year. The electric two-wheeler maker sold a total of 19,000 units in August, according to data from central portal Bahn.
Ola
holds a 30 percent market share in the electric two-wheeler market as of August
2023 sales. On August 15 this year, Ola announced the launch of several
electric scooters simultaneously. These include – second generation S1 Pro, S1
Air, S1 X (3 kWh), S1 X (2 kWh) and S1 X+. These are based on the company's
Gen-2 platform. Booking is done from the official website.
The second generation S1 Pro
The
Gen-2 S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1,47,499 (ex-showroom). It has twin fork
telescopic front suspension and flat floorboards. The range has been increased
to 195 km. Its maximum speed is 120 km per hour. Now its purchase window is
open. Deliveries start from mid-September.
Ola S1 Air
Ola
S1 Air costs Rs 1,19,999 (ex-showroom). It has a 3kWh battery pack and a 6kW
electric motor. It promises a range of 151 km on a full charge. Its top-speed
is 90 km/h. Recently, Ola launched the delivery of S1 Air in more than 100
cities of the country.
Ola S1 X
Ola
calls the S1 X the 'ICE Killer'. It comes in three variants – S1 X (3 kWh), S1
X (2 kWh) and S1 X+. The S1 X (3 kWh) and S1 X+ use a 6 kW electric motor and a
3 kWh battery. The scooter can run 151 km on a full charge. Top speed is 90
km/h. The S1 X (2 kWh) has a range of 91 km and a top-speed of 85 km/h.
The S1 X+ is priced at Rs 1,09,999. Delivery of the model will start from September. The S1 X is currently being booked for Rs 999. S1 X (3 kWh) and S1 X (2 kWh) are priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 89,999 respectively. Ola will start its delivery from December.
