to start production of Chromebooks in India from October
HP
recently announced its joint venture with Google, under which the company will
start manufacturing Chromebooks in India. Production of 'Make in India' HP
Chromebooks will begin at the Flex facility in Sriperumbudur near Chennai. This
is the same facility where HP has been assembling various Windows laptops for
the past three years. It has also been reported that production of the new
Chromebooks will begin on Monday, October 2. However, the company has not yet
announced how many Chromebooks it will make in a year.

in India will give students in the country easy access to affordable personal
computers. The company further expands its manufacturing operations, fully
supporting the Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative.”
Keep
in mind that Chromebooks have become quite popular due to their portability and
low cost. Especially in the field of education, their demand is increasing.
These types of laptops are well known for long software support. Earlier this
month, Google announced that all Chromebooks will receive 10 years of automatic
software updates. This new update policy will be effective from 2024 and will
apply to Chromebooks launched in 2021 or later
Incidentally, the HP Chromebook is available in India with multiple display sizes and form factors. Customers can choose between 11-inch, 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch display sizes. There are also two form factors, one is the traditional laptop-style Chromebook and the other is a two-in-one convertible. Chromebooks are generally priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000, but buyers can also buy expensive models depending on their budget and needs.
