Not 64, the Samsung Galaxy A54 is coming with a 50-megapixel camera, omitting this particular sensor

Samsung, the popular technology company based in South Korea, is currently working on a new smartphone in their A-series. This new device is likely to debut next year as the Samsung Galaxy A54.

However, a few months before the official launch, a report has now revealed some important information about the upcoming smartphone's camera. Let's take a look at them.

Leaked are the camera specifications of Samsung Galaxy A54

According to a recent report by Galaxy Club, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera. The report, however, did not reveal any details about the other cameras. However, the device is expected to come with a triple camera setup.

Incidentally, an earlier report mentioned that Samsung is planning to ditch the depth camera from its new Galaxy A54 handset, meaning the smartphone will have a wide-angle camera, ultra-wide camera and a macro camera. The macro sensor may be 5 megapixels and the ultrawide lens may be 5 megapixels. Many might think this is a camera downgrade, as the older Galaxy A53 and A52 models offered a 64-megapixel primary camera. But higher megapixels never equate to better pictures. More megapixels help enlarge and crop images without revealing individual pixels.

As reports and leaks about the Galaxy A54 have only just started to surface, not much is known about its specifications yet. However, the device is expected to hit the market next year as the successor to the Galaxy A53.

Samsung Galaxy A53 debuted in March this year with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super-AMOLED Infinity-O display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 800 nits’ peak brightness. The phone is powered by the Exons 1280 processor built on a 5-nanometer process with a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. For power backup, the Galaxy A53 comes with a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging. The handset runs Android-based One UI 4 custom skin with Samsung's Knox security.
