Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is very popular among smartphone fans but also in the laptop market. RedmiBook laptop series as well as Redmi G series gaming laptops are also popular in the domestic market. Last July,
Redmi unveiled the latest Redmi G 2022 gaming laptop in China, featuring a 12th generation Intel H-series processor. And now, the brand has released a teaser mentioning the launch date of another new gaming laptop called the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition. It is reported that the screen will be removed from the upcoming device this week itself. Incidentally, the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition is coming to the market as the first gaming laptop of the company's Pro-series, so the year will not be mentioned in its name.
Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition is coming this week
The teaser released by the company confirmed that the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition gaming laptop will be launched in the Chinese market on September 7. It will be powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU, which is said to be paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. But apart from the processor and GPU, the brand has not revealed any other important information about their upcoming gaming laptop. The company has not even teased the design of the Redmi G Pro Risen Edition yet.
Interestingly, the Redmi G Pro is rumored to be identical to the Redmi G 2022 launched in July, minus the processor and GPU. If the rumors are true, the upcoming laptop will feature a 16-inch display with 2.5K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, full-size backlit keyboard, two 2W speakers, HD (720 pixels) webcam, Thunderbolt 4, MiniDP 1.4, HDMI. 2.1, will come with Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6 connectivity.
Note that, like the previous Redmi G gaming laptop models, this too will likely be a China-exclusive model. In other words, the Redmi G Pro Ryzen Edition may not be launched in markets outside of China. Since official service for these Redmi laptops is not available in the international market, they are not imported to other countries.
