PMV Electric's first electric vehicle named EaS-E made its official debut today as planned. The new vehicle launched by the Mumbai-based company is currently India's cheapest battery-powered four-wheeler.

About 6,000 bookings have already been received on the company's website. Currently, this electric car can be booked from PMV's website by depositing a token of 2000 taka.

The PMV EaS-E model is currently the smallest electric vehicle in the country. Two adults and a small child can sit together in the small space inside. The EaS-E is completely designed for everyday use on city streets. The length of the model is 2,915 mm, width is 1,157 mm and height is 1,600 mm. Its wheelbase length is 2,087 mm and ground clearance is 170 mm. The curb weight of the car is about 550 kg.

Talking about the design of the PMV EaS-E, the vehicle has a somewhat fashionable look with rounded headlights at the front and an LED light bar that extends along the sides of the model. The tailgate also features horizontally mounted light bars and slim design LED lights.

The EaS-E model is compact in appearance but packed with all the modern features to suit. Notable among them are digital infotainment system, USB charging port, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, remote park assist, cruise control, air bags and seat belts. Apart from these, various riding modes, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation, music control, call notification, etc.

Now let's talk about the performance of this electric car. Three different ranges are available on this model of PMV depending on the variant – 120 km, 160 km, and 200 km. Its battery will be fully charged in just four hours. Any 15 amp charger will charge the electric car. In addition, the company will provide a three kilowatt AC charger.

The electric motor inside the EaS-E has a maximum power of 13 HP and a maximum torque of 50 Nm. The maximum speed of the car is 70 km per hour. It can accelerate from standstill to a maximum speed of 40 km/h in 5 seconds.

Commenting on the launch of the EaS-E, Kalpit Patel, Director, PMV Electric said, “My colleagues and I are proud that we have been able to create a vehicle that not only promotes our creativity, but also competes with SUVs, sedans and hatchbacks in India. It helped usher in a new segment called Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV). We will start its commercial production as soon as possible."

Since the PMV EaS-E has entered a new segment, it currently lacks any direct competition in the Indian market. However, when MG Motor's second electric car Air EV is launched on January 5, their clash will gather.
