Honda Hornet 2.0 has just been launched in the 180 cc segment. It is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, TVS Apache RTR 180 is batting in full form as an experienced player in the respective tribe.
Which is impossible to do without Maidan. The current market price of the model is Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the bikes are more feature rich than the 150/160 cc models. Again relatively cheaper than a 200cc motorbike. This report highlights which of the two motorcycles is ahead in competition with each other.

TVS Apache RTR 180 : Design Their design is most important in the world of 180
cc motorcycles. Of which the new Hornet comes with a sculpted fuel tank and
smaller headlights. There are also new graphics and black bodywork. That is why
the muscular features are evident in the design.
On the other hand, the
TVS Apache RTR 180 is less aggressive in terms of design. Although its tank
shroud adds a new dimension to the spectacle. The small fairing and side slung
exhaust also play a role. But between the two motorcycles, Honda Hornet 2.0 is
relatively ahead in terms of design.

Powering both the
motorcycles is a single cylinder, air cooled engine. It is available with a 5-speed
gearbox. However, the output (17 bhp and 16 Nm) is higher for the Hornet.
Apache RTR 180 has less power (16.7 bhp) and torque (15.5 Nm).

The new Honda Hornet
2.0 features 17-inch wheels, LED lighting, USD fork, rear monoshock, two-wheel
disc brakes with single channel ABS, slip and assist clutch and full digital
instrument cluster. Whereas the TVS Apache RTR 180 features traditional
telescopic front forks, dual rear shocks, 17-inch wheels, two-wheel disc brakes
with single channel ABS, digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth
connectivity. Although the Honda bikes have USD forks, the Apache is ahead in
terms of hardware.
Which of the above two motorcycles will be profitable to buy? In this context, despite the price difference of 7000 rupees, both the motorcycles are better. But if the riding experience is to be felt more, the Apache is ahead.
