Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) has issued an alert for Google Chrome users.
This government agency said that it has found new security issues in some versions of the Google Chrome web browser, which may cause problems in protecting users' data and information.
The government agency
has listed this Chrome vulnerability as 'High Severity' in its report. They
also said that by exploiting these vulnerabilities in Chrome, hackers could
remotely send malicious code to a system.
The
affected versions of Google Chrome are –

prior to 114.0.5735.133 for Mac and Linux.
Versions
of Windows prior to 114.0.5735.133/134.
Why do
these problems exist in Google Chrome?
CERT-IN reported that
these issues were caused by a variety of factors within Chrome, particularly
the free use of autofill payments, WebRTC, and Web XR, and type confusion in
V8. And these become dangerous only when a user unknowingly visits a webpage
designed to attack.

advised Google Chrome users to update their app to the latest version
immediately. Mac and Linux users are asked to download version 114.0.5735.133
and Windows users to download version 114.0.5735.133/134.
