Oppo is reportedly planning to unveil the latest smartphones from its popular Reno series in China this coming June.
The upcoming Oppo Reno 12 lineup is expected to take on the Vivo S19 series, Honor 200 series and Huawei Nova 13. A report earlier this week suggested that the Oppo Reno 12 might launch with the new MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset. And now a reputed tipster has leaked almost all the specifications of the Reno 12 model on social media.
Oppo Reno 12 Specifications (Probable)
Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has
claimed that the engineering prototype of the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 features
the MediaTek Dimension 8200 chipset. Incidentally, the same chipset is used in
the predecessor Reno 11 that debuted in November last year. Also, he said that
the Oppo Reno 12 engineering prototype features a large 5,000mAh battery with
up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage and 80W fast charging
support. It is probably running Colors 14 custom skin based on Android 14
operating system.
While DCS didn't reveal any
information about the Oppo Reno 12's front camera in its post, it claims that
the phone will sport a 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. An
earlier report, however, detailed that the Oppo Reno 12 might use a custom-made
Sony lens as the primary camera. There will be an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens
and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.0 aperture and 2x optical zoom
support.
Besides, the design of Oppo Reno 12
will be one of the main attractions. DCS claims that it will feature a slim and
lightweight design. The phone will have a micro-curved display on the front. It
is said that this screen will support 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
The device is also said to offer an IP65-rated dust and water-resistant
chassis.
