In early September, Sony launched a new camera smartphone named Xperia 5 V in the global market. It is a compact flagship handset with a 6.1 inch display,
powerful processor and large battery. Notably, it uses Sony's flagship Exmore T camera sensor, which debuted with the Xperia 1 V. And now the wait is over and Sony Xperia 5 V has gone on sale. Let's take a look at the details of the phone.

The
Sony Xperia 5V, currently available for purchase in Europe, features a 6.1-inch
OLED display, which supports FullHD+ resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz
refresh rate and HDR content. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm flagship
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It
also includes a microSD card slot for additional storage.
For
photography, the Sony Xperia 5V's rear camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel
primary sensor. The company has used a 52-megapixel Exmore T main sensor with
an effective 48-megapixel resolution. By default, this camera captures
12-megapixel shots with a 24mm equivalent focal length and supports optical
image stabilization (OIS) and autofocus.
The
camera also offers 2x optical zoom. The Xperia 5V also has a 12-megapixel
ultra-wide-angle lens on the back with dual-pixel autofocus and a 16mm focal
length. For power backup, the Sony Xperia 5V comes with a large 5,000mAh
battery, which supports 30W wired fast charging and 18W wireless fast charging.
Also,
the Sony Xperia 5 V has an IP68 rated chassis for water and dust resistance.
Again, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is used for protection on both the front
and rear panels of the handset. For an enhanced audio experience, the Sony
Xperia 5 V includes full-stage stereo speakers with LDAC and Hi-Res audio
support. The device runs on Android 13 operating system.

The Sony Xperia 5 V has made its way to several countries including France, Germany and Spain. The only 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at 999 Euros (roughly Rs. 88,225). However, Sony has not yet officially said anything about whether the Xperia 5 V will be launched in India.
