Motorola Edge 50 Ultra gets BIS

The Tech Outlook publication has
spotted the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra handset on the Bureau of Indian Standards
platform, indicating that the brand is gearing up to launch the smartphone in
the Indian market. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra carries the model number XT2401-1.
Although the BIS certification has not revealed any information about the
specifications or features of the device, it is expected to be similar to its
European version.

The European model of the Motorola
Edge 50 Ultra phone features a 6.67-inch curved P-OLED (POLED) display with a
resolution of 2,712 x 1,220 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate, and 2,500 nits peak
brightness. The display supports HDR10+ and has an in-built fingerprint sensor
and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. In terms of performance, it uses
the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor, which is paired with up to 16GB of
LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Edge 50 Ultra runs on Android 14
based Hello UI custom skin.
For photography, the Motorola Edge 50
Ultra features a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor with optical image
stabilization (OIS) support. Which is accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide
sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom. In terms of power
backup, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra comes with a 4,500mAh battery, which
supports 125W wired and 50W wireless charging.
